Most B2B sales jobs require B2B sales experience or at the very least sales experience. Your resume does not indicate either. This does not mean you cannot get the job of course, but you need something to show some sales attributes. I would consider adding a "relevent skills" or similar to your resume where you can highlight some sales attributes and characteristics...such as experience in negotiation, competitive (that is sales), strong relationship builder and so on to demonstrate that even though you are not an experienced sales person you do have the qualities. This should help you in the door at least.

Good luck.
References :
Leadership Trainer, Sales Professional

A cover letter should be ideally written on one page. You may include your actual qualification and experience in the resume. However, in the cover letter put more emphasis on how you fit the employer's wish of an ideal candidate for the job. Tell what you are capable of doing for him, highlight your achievements that can be related to the current opportunity. Good luck!
References :
http://CoverLetterFormat.org

Well I gotta say I'd use the dictaphone feature on my cell phone and record any activity which makes me uncomfortable. Or more quickly call home and have it recorded on that voicemail. That's before I calmly, prudently, and equally covertly, draw a clear line for my boss. I submit you have value, protect it.

Perhaps the rules have changed over the last 15 years, but there was no SEC rule prohibiting account firm placement. If there was it wasn't enforced. We had various accounts at various firms. That could be prohibitive to the 'free market.' What if I worked for a small firm? Could I only invest in that small firms products? That would knock the average investor out of most IPO's. Check your sources diligently. I'm nearly positive that unless you are an officer or insider to the firm, trading specifically in it's securities, you can trade through anyone.

Please hold this question open I want to check something Monday if I remember.
References :
former NASD Principal

My honest opinion is no. You don't want to have all your eggs in one basket, even if they "diversify" you in stocks, your not really diversified. Now if the stock market goes back to the lows of 09 you'll wish you weren't with ML, and they have no incentive to get you out of the market cause then they make less. So lets say your financial advisor thinks the market will go down, he won't get you out cause if it goes down, you'll lose with everyone else, and if he gets you out, and it goes up, he'll look stupid, so if he just keeps you in all the time, he keeps his job. Mutual fund managers and stock guys lose their job cause they underperform, not because they lose. So if the market goes down 30 % and you lose 29%, then thats ok. But if the market goes up 10% and you only make 5%, than thats not ok and the stock guy gets fired, so their is no incentive for him to ever get you out of the market. In these uncertain times you must be nimble with assett alocation.
References :
I'm an independent licensed financial advisor.

At this point I would not be so concern about the salary. If I were you I would be more concern with the interview and your mindset. One of the things that will stand out more than anything is ones desire to ascertain the salary. However, you need to present an attitude that will represent a desire to be a dedicated employee. One who will be willing to stay after work if necessary to learn all there is about the job.
References :
Take what job is best for your personal happiness and also has a balance of bucks. Viacom sounds like a good job for what you're looking for to me. As for developing your own business, I'd recommend maybe getting a job first and "Getting your feet wet", and if your job position develops into "Stagnation" where instead of going up in the position, you just go in a straight line, shoot off in your own direction and make your own business. Working under someone isn't necessarily a bad thing so long as that person recognizes potential and lets you up when you've earned it, but if you get held down, don't hesitate to go off in your own direction. There should also be plenty of time to find someone, and if you're as smart as you seem, shouldn't be too hard in an actual business, aka giants like Viacom, who're full of intelligent people.

Basically, since you're a recent grad, it'd probably be best to figure out how the system really works, then if you want to branch off, build your own business and grow it.

Life is a straight line which everyone's going forward on. If you're faster than the guys ahead of you, best thing to do is step aside from them and go farther, but if you're slower than the guys ahead of you, you can always work up to the point I stated above, and from my experience with both of those, either way, you're going to be having a good time so long as you're going forward.
References :
Experience, although in different scenarios as this.
